The Hill town of Munnar near Kochi , is famous for the beautiful mountain scenery. The town is situated at the confluence of the three mountain streams of Mudrapuzha , Nallthani and Kundala. This is also the commercial centre of some of the worlds highest tea grooving estates. This hill town has several interesting places. Example Crist Church, Eravikulam National Park and Madupatty Dam. The Church has fine stained glass and brass plaques. Kundala tea plantations are stunning places. From Munnar South India’s highest peak Anamudi ( 2695 M) can be seen.
Around Munnar, the Sandalwood forest, and Chinnar wilf life sanctuary attract much interest. The home to Malbar Greay hornbills , Woodpecker and parakeets. Parambikulam Wildlife Sanctuary covers an area of 285 Sq KMS .
